MAKING A DIFFERENCE WITH EVOLUTION^®

Evolution Feeding Programme, began as a firm commitment to help mediterranean aquaculture, increasingly influenced by the high cost of fish feed.

Evolution^® program has been developed by our R+D+I department and it has the last technical ideas and the result that were got in the CENIT ACUISOST project, whose aim was to get a rational, sustainable and environmentally respectful aquaculture.

Evolution^® program is a significant qualitative step forward that leaves behind traditional feeding ideas. Its philosophy is basically based on satisfying real feeding needs of each fisheries species by using the different ingredients of the formula in the right proportion. This way, we will get the highest digestibility in diets as well as we will improve the production cycle and decrease feeding costs.

Feeding Evolution^® program is clearly better than other products thank to the choice of raw materials, the put up of pre-digested protein sources and a new manufacturing process based on helping nutrients digestibility.

Evolution^® program production results cannot be any more satisfying and this revolutionary nutritional bet, with lower protein supply to those that have been used traditionally in fisheries’ cultivations, show a similar behaviour in industries to that they reached in research centres. This behaviour led to this program’s first feeding tests.

The tests we made and compared to traditional fodders have proved significant improvements on the conversion rate (FCR), the daily growth rate (SGR) and digestibility. However, condition (K), feeling, viscerosomatic rates (VI) or fish biochemical and organoleptic composition factors do not change.

Advantages of the Evolution^® program can be seen in water quality thank to a higher use of a more digestible protein content that leads to higher oxygen availability and an environmental improvement.

These properties of environmental improvements have appeared in closed circuits Systems, in stake nets, in inland farms and offshore facilities. We must point out their positive effect in smaller sizes and the fact of its help to fish’s survival.

Evolution^® is a pioneer feeding program that decreases nowadays dependency on traditional raw material and gets to confirm that using formulae with higher protein rates do not necessarily mean a bigger growth and a better feeding.
