The Dibaq Group has its central headquarters in Fuentepelayo (Segovia, Spain).
The beginnings of the Dibaq Group are dated in 1951. Its founder is José Luis Tejedor Gilmartín. He started working in the animal
production’s sector with an initial project of poultry farming. Later on, this project got bigger by including pork production. In
order to carry out this bigger project, he built a self-sufficiency factory. This project was called DIPROTEG
(Iberian Division of Technical Programs cattle Raisers).
In the eighties new professionals, with good knowledge on aquaculture, started working in the company and so the parent company
decided to bet on aquaculture's business. Thus, Diproteg made a big investment in order to build a new fodder factory and thus a
new company called DIBAQ (Iberian Division of aquaculture) was created.
In the next years new investments in technology and machinery were made. This allowed the company to get involved in new sectors,
especially in pet food production. In 1988 both companies were merged so Dibaq Diproteg INC Group was born.
The logo has suffered many changes since the company started working. This changes show the company's history and it vocation as
a group that is specialized in Animal Nutrition and a group that wants to keep close to rural environment.
Its international presence started in 1989 and it has been without any doubts the key of this business project. Nowadays, Dibaq
Diproteg is present in more than fifty countries and that has led to the built of new factories in new countries such as the Czech
Republic and Mexico.
Since the company was created new investments have been made. The company has also taken new business chances that had led Dibaq to reach
really high technology, as well as to develop a powerful department of R+D+i that foresees and develops new nutrition projects.

pet specialized stores for a direct service to the final consumer (Petplanet), shipping company for shipments for our clients
(Tejedor Dibaq), company devoted to the elaboration of vitamins and minerals for our products (Comercial Ferrando),
Eels production company (Valencian of Aquaculture), company devoted to technology in extruder manufacturing (Ditech),
to the creation of computer programs (Disoft), and even to functional and natural products made of micro-algae
(Chlorella Centrum).

In 2008, the Dibaq Group invested an approximate budget of €4 million in R+D+i activities, what means 2% of its whole budget. This investment exceeds the
national average in big companies.
Always being in the vanguard of new trends, technologies and developments is a maxim for DIBAQ and the key of its position and leadership in pet and
cultivating fish food production in the whole Europe. Having an international market allows the Dibaq Group to have a wider and updated vision of the sector,
to see new needs and proposals and to try to adopt the best solutions. The continuous launch of new diet programs with evident productive and nutrition
